For a sweet little stay on the water, check out Llewellyn Cottage. ​​The fire pit and waterfront garden are just the vibes for a relaxing home away from home.

In the morning, head across the S-shaped swing bridge into historic downtown Hertford for breakfast. Brew 2 Rescue is a lovely non-profit cafe serving breakfast items and amazing coffee selections. Bonus: all of their profits go to the fight against human trafficking.

After breakfast, stroll down Church Street for a little shopping. You'll find antiques, boutiques, sweet shops, and more. Also while you're downtown, you can check out the Hertford Mural Trail.​​

​

A stop at Planters Ridge is always a treat. This local garden center, florist, and sandwich shop is an excellent place to get off your feet for lunch, and check out the seasonal home and garden decor as well!

If you venture out to Belvidere, you'll love exploring Layden's Supermarket and The Nicholson House. Also in Belvidere is an immense amount of Quaker history.

End your day with a seafood dinner at 252 Grill or Story's Seafood. If Italian is calling your name, Tommy's Pizza has a fantastic menu.

Hertford Bay Tap House has a lively night life with nightly events and specials for those who prefer a night cap.
