Summer Breeze Concert
The historic 1730 Newbold-White House hosts the three 'Summer Breeze' concerts held each year on their lawn during June, July and August.
The 'Summer Breeze' concerts are sponsored by the Perquimans County Restoration Association and the Perquimans Arts League. There is no charge to attend the concerts, but donations are welcomed. Please bring a chair and snacks for these casual outdoor family family concerts.
Musical groups and exact dates will be announced later. In the event of inclement weather, the event is moved to the Perquimans County Recreation Center off Harvey Point Road.
The Newbold-White House is open for tours Tuesday thru Saturday 10am - 4pm ~ Admission is $5/adults, $3/children, free/6 and under. Special group rates are available. Parking and picnic areas on site; handicapped accessible. Phone: 252-426-7567 or E-Mail and WEB Site
The Newbold-White House is operated by the Perquimans County Restoration Association and is proud to be a site on the Historic Albemarle Tour. It is the oldest brick house in the state open to the public. A Colonial work boat called a periauger was listed on the inventory of the owner, Abraham Sanders with a reproduction being commissioned. This is the only known periauger in existence.
